South Korea’s top women’s volleyball star Kim Yeon-kyung (Heungkuk Life) ended her international career with a bang in her retirement match.
Kim played in the KYK Invitational 2024 World Women’s Volleyball All-Star Game at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on Monday, 스포츠토토사이트 scoring 12 points.
Kim retired from the sport at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in 2021, but due to COVID-19, her retirement ceremony was held three years later. The match was coached by Kim’s former national team coach Cesar Hernandez, who has been a part of her Tokyo Olympic mythology. Kim’s current head coach, Marcello Abondanza, coached Team World, which featured international all-star players.
Kim made her presence felt with a team-high 12 points, and she officially announced the establishment of the KYK Foundation, named after her initials.
