Hwang Yu-min, who had the best score among the players who teed off in the morning, once again took on the challenge of reaching the top after winning the Doosan Engineering & Construction We’ve Championship last April.

Hwang Yu-min performed consistently, ranking in the top 20 in all five competitions he participated in, including the championship this season.

Hwang Yu-min hit a long shot of over 260 yards on the first day of the competition, and did not miss the green once in the par 5 hole.

Hwang Yu-min, who played for the first time on this tournament course, said, “The green is small and the fairway is narrow, so it was important to keep the fairway. Thanks to keeping the fairway well today, my iron play continued well.”

As of 4 p.m., Ji-Hyun Ahn hit 4-under par 68, trailing Yu-Min Hwang by 2 strokes.

Kim Jae-hee, winner of the Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open at the season opener, also entered the race for her second win of the season by hitting 3 under par 69.

Jaehee Kim caught 5 birdies, but it was disappointing that she recorded 2 bogeys in the early part of the first round.

The Kyochon Ladies Open will be held for three days with a total prize money of 800 million won and a winner’s prize of 144 million won. 스포츠토토
