Korea won 42 gold medals, 59 silver medals, and 89 bronze medals in this competition.

The goal of 3rd place overall was achieved, but the goal of winning 45 to 50 gold medals was not met.

China swept 200 gold medals, won 111 silver medals, and 71 bronze medals.

Ranked first overall for 11 consecutive times in 41 years. Japan ,

in second place, recorded 51 gold medals, 66 silver medals, and 69 bronze medals.
