Professional basketball team Suwon KT harvested its first back-to-back wins of the season after defeating Goyang Sono.

KT defeated Sono 101-65 in a home game of the 2023-2024 regular season at the Suwon KT Arena on Saturday.

KT, which defeated Changwon LG in its opening game on the 21st of last month but lost three consecutive games afterwards, snapped its losing streak by sacrificing Seoul Samsung on the 4th. Notably, KT, whose last two victories were away from home, also enjoyed its first home win this season.

With three points from three games, KT moved into a tie for fifth place with Anyang Chungkwanjang and Seoul SK.

Sono, with two wins and five losses, dropped to ninth.

KT jumped out to a 30-15, double-digit lead in the first quarter behind a nine-point, five-rebound, four-assist all-around performance from Paris Bass and three 3-pointers from Han Hee-won.

SONO was unable to find easy offensive lanes in the middle of the third quarter, although Jeon Sung-hyun hit his first three-pointer and Choi Hyun-min added a three-pointer.

KT, which gradually pulled away thanks to the even performance of its players, piled up points on its last two possessions of the third quarter with a dunk and a basket by Ha Yun-ki to run away with a 72-49 lead.

At 83-54 with 7:28 left in the fourth quarter, KT rested Ha Yoon-ki and Bass, and Sono effectively admitted defeat by taking out Lee Jung-hyun and Jeon Sung-hyun when the score was 63-94 with 2:58 left.
