Professional soccer club FC Seoul has been recognized as the team that drew the largest number of fans at its home games in Rounds 14-26 of the 2023 season.The Hana OneQ K League 1 2023 Second Club Awards, announced by the Korea Professional Football Association (KPFA) on Friday, showed that Seoul, which averaged 17,011 paying fans in seven home matches during Rounds 14-26, won the “Full Stadium” award, which recognizes the team with the largest attendance.This is the second consecutive award for Seoul, which also won the inaugural Full Stadium award in Rounds 1-13 (six home games) with an average paid attendance of 27,531.The “Plus Stadium” award, given to the club with the largest increase in attendance from the first round, went to Jeonbuk Hyundai.Jeonbuk attracted 14,799 paying fans, an increase of 4,812 fans from the first round.The “Fan Friendly Club” award, given to the team with the most fan-friendly activities, went to Daejeon Hana Citizen for its star marketing, including inviting Ive Ahn Yoo-jin and actor Lee Do-hyun.Ulsan Munsoo Football Stadium, home of Ulsan Hyundai, won the “Green Stadium” award, which evaluates the condition of the stadium’s grass.In K League 2, Gyeongnam FC swept both the “Full Stadium” and “Plus Stadium” awards.Gyeongnam attracted 3,283 paying fans to its six home matches in rounds 14-26, an increase of 1,168 from the first round. This was the largest increase and highest attendance among the 13 clubs in K League 2.Seongnam FC was named the K League 2 “Fan Friendly Club,” while the “Green Stadium” 스포츠토토 award went to Mokdong Stadium, home of Seoul Eland.
