OUT again after 6 months at Nottingham ‘crisis’
Nuno Espirito Santo, who managed Heung-min Son at Tottenham Hotspur, is in danger of being sacked after just six months in charge of Nottingham Forest.
Nuno has not settled in easily.
“Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis will have no problem sacking Nottingham manager Nuno Espirito Santo if he feels he is not suitable for the position,” said British media ‘Football Insider’ on Dec. 15 (KST). “Nuno has been criticized by Nottingham fans for his defensive style of play since his arrival.”
Nottingham sacked Steve Cooper in December last year after more than two years in charge, citing poor results, and appointed Nuno. But six months on, the possibility of a sacking is growing.

After overseeing Wolverhampton’s rise to prominence, Nuno was chosen as their next manager.
Tottenham’s Nuno sacking didn’t last long. Tottenham started the season on a winning streak, led by Son Heung-min, and it looked like Nuno was on the right track at the big club.
Despite the poor performances, the points were secured, but a losing streak followed, leading to his dismissal. Spurs sacked Nuno after just five months and appointed Antonio Conte as his successor. Conte picked up where Nuno left off and led Spurs to a fourth-place finish.
Nuno spent more than a year at Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia to regroup 안전 토토사이트 before returning to Premier League Nottingham last December. Nottingham were facing relegation after being deducted four points for breaching the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), but Nuno played defensive football to pick up points. Nottingham narrowly avoided relegation in 17th place.
But the controversy over their performance continued. Fans are unhappy with the defensive style of play, and the club is considering sacking him. Nuno”s contract with Nottingham runs until 2026.
