LG Twins’ Casey Kelly suffered another loss, this time for the most runs allowed this season.
On April 21, the right-hander took the mound against the Hanwha Eagles at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon, South Korea, and allowed eight runs on eight hits (two home runs), four walks, one hit batsman, and three strikeouts in five innings. With the bases loaded, Kelly gave up a walk to Lee Do-yoon, a single to Choi Jae-hoon, and a walk to Kim Tae-yeon to load the bases for Peraza, who gave up another run on a sacrifice fly to 토토사이트 center field. In the bottom of the fifth, Kelly gave up a single to Jang Jin-hyeok and a stolen base to put runners on second and third. Do-yoon Lee’s line drive was hit by first baseman Kim Bum-seok, who jumped, but the ball hit the mitt and rolled backward, allowing both runners to score to extend the lead to 8-0.
Kelly threw 90 pitches, 35 fastballs up to 147 mph, 21 curveballs, 13 sliders, 12 forkballs, seven two-seamers and two changeups against Hanwha batters, but it was not enough. He is 1-6 this season. His ERA jumped from 4.88 to 5.72. He has given up nine home runs.
